This Week’s Message – “Goodness & Faithfulness”

Good. True. Right. Faithful. Honorable. Trustworthy. Admirable. We likely know people who live up to these characteristics, and we hope to be among them. But how are they actually developed in us—especially when some amount of corruption seems so much easier? This week we will see God’s desire to develop goodness and faithfulness in us, and how He accomplishes it.

Los Altos Christian School invites you to their next Parent Education Workshop on Wed., Oct. 2, 6:30-7:30pm in the Bridges Family Center. Christian Counseling Centers will discuss “The Impact of Silicon Valley Culture on Children & Adolescents,” addressing issues including identity and self-image, the impact of stress, and emotional regulation and coping skills. We are once again teaming up with Los Altos Christian School to combine our fall events into one amazing, FREE night. Help Feed Dinner to Local Homeless
Join MUCH Hope as they serve local homeless at a shelter in San Jose by providing monthly dinners. Lots of help is needed whether it’s for 30 minutes or 2 hours! Deaconesses and Deacons in Need of Volunteers
Bridges’ Deaconess and Deacon Boards are recruiting volunteers to join in the important mission of hearing the word and doing what it says (James 1:22) along with the combined need for faith and action (James 2:16). Our Deaconesses continually support the Bridges family in ways both seen and behind the scenes, and we hope to grow the Deacon Board to similarly serve and also partner with the Deaconesses on joint projects. Have you been looking for ways to serve with other dedicated people? Whether you’d like to send an encouraging note, visit someone in the hospital, give a ride, or something else that excites you, only sign up when you are available and in areas where you want to contribute.
